New challenge for Chick #2 and Chick #3

Ok girls. We had the flooring guys out. And in our sunroom they are not sure that we can lay anything. They are worried about the temps not being the same all year....and it seems it has some moisture issues. Not major leaks. Just being right on the ground can be damp at times. So here is the challenge......

We are thinking of painting the floors!!! Do either of you know anything about it? What would be best? Also, the trim will be white....the brick will be a dark brown....and what is left (alittle bit of wall) will be a blue color. So what color would you paint the floors? BTW, this will be my scrapbook room!!!! I got the bigger room for this!! YEAH!

So the challenge is on.........

  1. What will you be painting on? There are porch paints available out there.

  2. It is just an old concret floor that was under the carpet. We were thinking about painting it all one color....just not sure what color, or with what. Haven't heard about it. But thought we paint alot of things....why not try this. It will save alot on floors.

  3. I would look into the porch paints. I know there is stuff you can add to keep it from being too slick. Maybe paint one main color and a complimentary color about 2 feet wide around the outer portion of the room, but leaving another foot or more between the "band" and the wall?
    Just an idea.

  5. Another thought would be to use garage paint. Maybe even use the kind that you throw down the "chips" on. Here is one link:

My vote is for whatever requires your DH minimal work. :)
